The academy is our version of this same impulse. Every member of the academy – whether a teacher, student or staffer – plays an integral role in the function of all.

Though we believe reading and writing makes better writers, we also understand that the academy plays an important role in developing and preserving the health of our literary community.

For this reason, we created the Aemette Initiative:

If you are a teacher, student or staffer at a college or university, you quality for a 20% discount on journal purchases from Anobium.

Because we’ve all been through school ourselves, we understand how wallets can run thin. We want our publications to be accessible and affordable. By doing this, we hope to contribute to the health and vitality of a constantly evolving literary community. Every ‘aemette’ matters.

All you need is a .edu address. 

Normal copies of our literary journals cost $10 + shipping. If you have a .edu e-mail address, you are eligible for a 20% discount and free shipping on as many journal copies as you, your classroom or your library may need. Larger discounts are available on orders of ten copies or more.

It’s easy to purchase.

Whether you’re purchasing for yourself or on behalf of a collection, the steps are simple:

3. We will send you an invoice, with the Aemette Initiative discount noted.
